Business Development and Sales Manager

Base Location: Metro DC

We need a candidate with a proven track record in building relationships, presentation skills, with an ability to prospect and to win new business. The following attributes are required:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years Sales experience
  • Government, commercial or international focus
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Participate in networking events off-hours
  • Ability to portray TMG as the premier services firm
  • Consultative selling and closing skills
  • Solid PC, communication and time management skills
  • Self-starter and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work on a combination of salary and commission basis without any cap on earnings

Long Term Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build a diverse sales organization from ground up
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in solutions selling
  • Previous effective and successful sales management experience with leadership and visionary skills
  • Government, commercial or international focus
  • Possess mentoring skills and import solid sales knowledge to junior level team members
  • Act as part of a team, rather than segregating positions
  • Commitment to employees and their individual growth in order to make the company succeed and the customer happy
  • Participate in executive team meetings with valuable and researched input
  • Participate in succession planning with tangible and realistic strategy plans
  • Growth strategy for commercial, government and international markets working concertedly with market research and marketing team
