Security Officer (FT)

Location

Metro DC

This individual will monitor and perform all duties associated with security clearance personnel, including follow up for individual and facility clearances, as well as maintenance of security records and contacts to appropriate clearance-qualifying agencies on behalf of the company. 

Description

  • Assist in conducting preliminary and final reviews of statements of personal history and related data prior to initiation of background investigation procedures
  • Conduct background investigations of individuals who would occupy positions where a determination of suitability for employment or access to classified info rmation is required
  • Prepare reports of investigations resulting from interviews conducted during background investigations. This includes the drafting of summary sheets on the results of investigations for all assigned cases. In cases of derogatory info rmation the Specialist shall draft a detailed evaluation of the adverse info rmation. When the info rmation is insufficient to make a recommendation regarding the disposition of the case the Specialist shall draft a list of recommended questions or lines of inquiry necessary for follow on investigation
  • Assist in the adjudication of personal background investigations for suitability for employment with the government and/or issuance of a security clearance. This includes the drafting of summary sheets on the results of investigations for all assigned cases. In cases of derogatory info rmation the Specialist shall draft a detailed evaluation of the adverse info rmation for the Senior Specialist or the Program Manager to review. When the info rmation is insufficient to make a recommendation regarding the disposition of a case the Specialist shall draft a list of recommended questions or lines of inquiry necessary for follow on investigations for supervisory review. The Specialist shall support follow on actions required by the Security Programs Staff to include drafting of case documentation and supporting the Offices of the General Counsel and Human Resources and Administration when the situation so warrants
  • Assist in developing and issuing agency-wide policy standards for the granting of security clearances and suitability for employment with the United States Government. Drafted documentation shall be presented to the Department's security representatives for comment and revised in accordance with their comments

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the investigative requirements for the performance and adjudication of background investigations
  • At least three years of general experience and one year of specialized experience. General experience is experience gained in initiating, monitoring and conducting of background investigations
  • A college degree may be substituted for one year of general experience, specialized experience is experience gained in analyzing, decision making or adjudicating the results of background investigation. This includes making recommendations for the granting of a security clearance or employment with the Government
  • The Specialist must possess the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organization and management levels

Job Description:

Quality Assurance Analyst (FT)

This functional area consists of applying engineering and analytical disciplines to ensure that the processes and products used in the design, development, fabrication, manufacture of result in quality products.

Location:

Description:

  • Manage all aspects of software configuration management and quality assurance
  • Support the software development process by determining an appropriate build schedule
  • Manage the source code using a source code control system
  • Develop procedures to organize build and release cycles
  • Conduct comprehensive application quality assurance testing
  • Design and execute acceptance test plans
  • Create, run and analyze comprehensive automated tests for dynamically changing Web applications
  • Maintain and enhance the bug management system
  • Report, verify and track discrepancies in a prompt manne
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with developers and management during the entire project lifecycle
  • Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of configuration items
  • Audit configuration items to verify conformance to specifications and other contract requirements

Qualifications:

  • 3 years quality assurance experience
  • 1 years of requirements analysis
  • Experience with rapid development methodologies, structure and tools (e.g., code generators, data modeling tools, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate ideas to team members and management
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Navy experience a plus
  • Secret clearance or eligible to obtain clearances
