 Julie Betts, Aviation & Airport Business Analyst, has over 20 years experience in the Airline and Aviation industry, which also encompasses Travel and Tourism. Her knowledge in both worldwide international and domestic airline operations incorporates Sales, Marketing, Pricing Distribution, Airport Operations, Airline and Aviation Policy and Travel Agency Operations for wholesale, retail and corporate market segmentation. In 1983, she joined Penthouse Travel which dealt with wholesale tour programs to India, Sri Lanka, The Maldive Islands and Switzerland. She negotiated contracts with local operators at these destinations, and coordinated brochure production and booking processes. Additionally, Ms. Betts oversaw the retail and corporate travel operations and managed contracts. In 1988, she joined Ansett Australia where she was involved in all aspects of the airline's operations both domestically and internationally and was an integral team member for the start up of Ansett's international operations in 1992. In 1999, Ms. Betts moved to the worldwide industry leader for distribution of airline fares and fare related data. Additionally, she has served as a delegate and chair on working groups under the auspices of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). |
